About
Ray Lenzin
I’m a Solution Architect based in Zürich, Switzerland, where I work for the City Government of Zürich. I lead digitalisation projects from strategy and software architecture through to successful delivery, leading and mentoring a team of 18 developers to build modern, sustainable digital services that support the city’s long-term digital transformation.
Alongside my public sector role, I founded VRay, a Swiss technology consultancy focused on software architecture, digital strategy, automation, and custom software development. I work with organizations across Switzerland to help them make better technology decisions, design scalable and secure software solutions, and build applications that deliver lasting value. By combining strategic thinking with hands-on engineering, I ensure every recommendation is grounded in practical implementation and long-term sustainability.
“Technology should empower people — not control them.”
One of my earliest inspirations was the movie WarGames, which introduced me to the ideas of artificial intelligence, computer systems, and the profound impact technology can have on the world when left unchecked. Since then, I’ve been fascinated by the challenge of designing and building intelligent applications.
At the same time, I believe that great software comes with great responsibility. It should be secure, thoughtfully designed, and built with long-term sustainability in mind, creating solutions that remain reliable, maintainable, and valuable for years to come.
